Nope, the term is both stupid and unproductive. At least as used by Darren MacLennan. It's used to pre-judge a game and condemn it because, well, it's not <i>D&D.</i>

Following that chain of reasoning, what's the point in having a <i>Reviews</i> section at RPG.net? If <i>D&D</i> and the d20 system are the final word in roleplaying games, never to be challenged or improved upon, then why waste time, space and bandwidth reviewing anything else? They're all doomed to failure anyway.

I guess all that time I've spent playing games other than <i>D&D</i> was just wasted. Pity. I rather enjoyed all those games.
