I'm not going to jump on the reviewer, but here are a few questions I have.
1. "Street Justice" What is "NdT"? (3d sentence)
2. "Against the Odds" Freedom City had a very strong Greco/Roman mythological presence. (Largely because of Daedelus, his background & his enemies) Are the sample characters in this section spun out of the Freedom City setting? For example, do we get stats for Freedom City villains like Hades or is this more generic in nature?
3. "Legacy." So I take it that this is not an attempt to detail the Freedom City "Golden Age" - or is it? Are there enough details to piece that together? Or is it really more about role-playing issues with "legacy" characters? Just a little confused about what the chapter is and isn't.
4. "Freedom League." Well, again, what exactly is this? Is it just a set of stat blocks for the Freedom League? How is that any different than those presented in the core book or in Freedom City?
5. "Claremont Academy." I understand the teenage angst thing is not everyone's cup ogf tea, but what, exactly do the authors do with it? Is it an expansion of the Freedom City group - with enemies, HQ layouts, history, and so forth, or it it just advice about how to run a teenage superhero campaign in general?
6. "Freedom City 2525." Do we get "future" hero writeups in this section? Or just villains? hat kinds of info do we get about running futuristic campaigns? Do we get stats for spaceships, aliens, & planet-eaters? Do we get some sort of historical background for the years in-between now and then? Do we get an idea of what areas of the universe have been explored? How common alien races are? And what makes a "futuristic" hero any different than a modern" one? Are there any particular sci-fi themes that stand out here?
7. No questions here.
8. No questions here.
9. Could you give an example of what you mean by a "new mechanical option?" You kind of lost me there.
10. No questions here.
11. Without giving away the whole thing, could give us at least some idea of what the "new" hero point options involve? Is this just a matter of how many points are awarded, or for what? Or is this just a whole series of different ways to award HPs based on the genre, or something?
12. Does the "Capers" section presuppose that you have the stats for people like Toy Boy and or are the stats provided?
13. No questions about the Errata.
I don't know about other prospective buyers, but a little more elaboration on a few of these things would help me a lot.
Thanks
- A.M.
