Converted from Phorums BB System

I've known Paul for a few years now, though I was a customer even before that. Duel and StarCorp$ are two of my prized possessions in my small stack of "Game books or testacle?" "Left or right" gamers I have.

For a long time Paul was very concerned about slipped deadlines for the appearance of being out of business, particularly in that bad period before everyone was well connected online and a distributor would happily say someone was out of business instead of reordering product they no longer had in stock.
As a result, he let things out that needed at least one more strange eyeball put to them. Particularly with books he was mostly or completely hands off on ( such as Foundation )

Considering some of the folks I hang with, calling him one of the best game concept and designers I know is not a small compliment.

While I am obviously biased in Paul's favor here, I really tire of the regular case of kick the can over a single product. Paul's done some marvelous stuff. He's also done some less than marvelous stuff. Sometimes the execution can get in the way, but there are lots of gems in there too.

He's also the only 2 time Strontium-90 winner...

Some day, the industry will realize that Paul Lidberg is an embarrassment, with no talent whatsoever. Just a drive to rip off other people's ideas and call them his own.

And then maybe on that glorious day, he and "Team Frog" will go the way of the DoDo...
