OK, I have had a look at my notes and the rules again:

Basically the system is subtractive, with only one action listed as being able to give points to the show (embrace). Everything else is done to stave off or cause subtraction. So assuming that you retain the same level of ratings for the show from one episode to the next, the only thing that can be done to increase the ratings is up the "congress". Which automatically means that unless the show goes down the road of Melrose Place, it will be canned in 4 episodes, guarenteed, because there are far too many oportunities to take away points...

While this may in fact be true of television, the game is pitched at a schlock sci-fi series, not 1960s soft p o r n, so there probably should be a re-target of the rating system, IMHO...
