1) $80 with tax, but even $75 is too much.
2) Actually, it's 221, which is IMO barely 200 considering all the fluff and the large type font. Regardless, my point still stands that it could have been one book, not two.

Wouldst thou care to compare the words per page average in the new basic set to any other currently supported RPG on the market?
Bigger font size is a good thing for a LOT of us. Speaking as someone who wears one set of glasses to drive, a second to read books and a third to read this computer screen, tiny print. Bad.

Sure. How about Hero? 500 pages. One book. Sengoku? 335 in tiny 8 pt font, meaning - lots of info! In fact, the only books I have that are in two books are 2nd ed. Weird West (1st edition was one...), D&D, and now Gurps. My Vampire, my Rolemaster, my HARP, my Chivalry & Sorcery, my 3rd Ed. Gurps, my TROS, my L5R, and the list goes on...are all one book. Funny how some game companies can manage it, yet others can't. Hmmm... could it be a marketing scam to make more money? Nah... SJGames wouldn't stoop so low. Would they...?
I just feel if they're going to make us buy two books, give us a little discount. Maybe a package deal if you buy both books. I'd certainly be more inclined to buy them in that fashion. As it is, for $80 they may as well bend us over - we're their new bitches.
Yes, small font is harder to read. But is it worth $40 to read a little easier? Some would say no. I'm one of those some.
