Let me just say that the ethnic group in question is only featured twice in the book in images that are clearly of that group, and that in both cases it shows them only in their most negatively possible light.

This particular portrayal however, has become so 'standard' in the USA that most Americans will probably feel I am in the wrong for objecting or even bringing it to light...
