And in a modern context cameras *aren't* everywhere. If they were, the job of the police would be vastly easier than it is. I don't see how it subverts the storytelling or undermines the personal horror to make PCs be careful about what they do where.

(BTW: who's watching the global trend? How about the FBI, when they are called in to find out why these funny glitches tend to pop up around murder scenes?)
