Converted from Phorums BB System

Here's my point though: If Harbinger is the archetype Dark Champion, then he should have been made with the same points as a starting character to give some clues as to how such a character is made. If they wanted to include a future or more experienced version of Harbinger for a comparison, that's okay. Starting PCs have no chance of getting to his level unless they have at least two years of steady, weekly play. Now, a GM could not have him around in the game, but that's true of anything that appears in a gamebook.

If he appears in a settings-only book, then I could give him some more leeway. The first Dark Champions book was also a how-to book, though. The emphasis should be on instructions on how to do low-level games, rather than having an ultimate character for the setting.

My comment on Mechanon was to show the huge amount of points Harbinger had.
