That's strange, I'd heard Iron Age but not plutonium age. I guess the Iron Age would be when comics started getting more realistic and started tackling more controversial things. Around the mid to late 80s the Comic Code was basically thrown out the window. Some examples of Iron Age stuff would be Hellboy, The Maxx, Spawn, etc.
