Well, most "roleplaying" I've seen amounts to either powergaming, hiding behind rules and a character sheet, or bad acting.

Paranoia requires quick thinking and entertaining wit. It's less chess-like tactics, than Bugs Bunny out-thinking Daffy Duck.

That's not exactly roleplaying either, and certainly doesn't fit in conventional RPGs.
