Actually, the fact that the fans of the system are having a hard time categorizing the system as RPG or Tactics, the fact I hate tactics outside of Chess, and I'm a pessimist so I assume the worst, shows my standpoint exactly.

I won't buy Paranoia because it MIGHT be tactical roleplaying, which is really a nice way of saying Diablo or Dungeon Siege. Which is a nice way of saying "A RPG which is not a RPG"

And I hate RPGs that are not RPGs, so if there's the possibility of Paranoia being such, I'll give it a pass

Since that possibility has presented itself, I'll give it a pass.
