the main difference between the three editions is that each has the attributes and skills changed slightly to flavor the genre it supports. There is a conversion table at the WEG site that shows which attributes and skills are used for each book, although I could not find it just now.

There are genre specific creatures, NPCs and equipment in each book that is different than the others.

Adventure and Space have different systems for psionics, and space has spaceship design rules.
