I don't know what that NDA crap was, but if you can buy the boxed set you damn sure can talk about it.

The SIEGE engine, according to the boxed set is this:

You must roll a 12 or an 18 depending on whether the stat is a Primary or Secondary. Primaries require a 12 roll, Secondaries require an 18.

If the CK says you need to roll a DEX check to jump over a raging waterfall and your Cleric has DEX as a Primary stat, you need to roll a 12. There are modifiers if the CK wants them. He may decide that your Cleric is encumbered due to his plate mail armor and shield and require you to take a -4 penalty on your roll. There can be positive modifiers too.
