As far as I can tell, ALL rolls except combat (stat checks, saving throws, etc.) are done using the SIEGE engine. Combat, as per d20 Fantaskunk, is based on rolling AC or higher.

The full version of the game may change this, but the boxed set is very simple and probably a very fun game to play. I find it $30 well spent.

It is very much like Original D&D. This boxed set, along with a decent dose of imagination, is all that will be needed to play.
