RE: Insane NDA

Converted from Phorums BB System

The NDA thing was my misreading of the Trolls declaration as to what could be discussed. At a point in time a couple of months before the release of the box set, the playtesters were allowed to discuss certain aspects of the game. I neglected to take into account that we were talking about the box set and not the playtest rules.

I apologize for the confusion on that point.

I still do not believe though that a thorough discussion of character generation, magic use, and combat is necessary. The way I see it, if you've ever played ANY incarnation of Dungeons & Dragons, then these things are known quantities. The only two differences that I am aware of are these:

*Character generation adds the step of selecting the stats that your character will be best in. These are your primes. As noted above, the primes determine whether your base target number is 12, or 18.

*Combat is fast and light, eliminating items such as Attacks of Opportunity, five-foot steps, and all of the other BS that exists in d20 Fantasy combat.

Again, I do apologize for the confusion. Next time, I'll read a little less into things before posting.
