True, I do think it was a mechanical implement, but it just opened the road for munchkinism, IMO.

I saw too many Potence/Celerity/Fortitude transcient commando killing machines to even come close to thinking that is a good thing. The bad news is that you can do the same thing in VtR with Daeva, the good news is that these three disciplines have lost enough power that someone with Dominate 3 would make that person look really stupid.

And there were 13 clans, dude, just 7 of them were done well while the others were... not done well.

I'll give you a hint which were done well: It wasn't the Assamite, the Tremere, the Brujah, Followers of Set, the Klingons, or the Lasombra.

It almost (I said almost) made sense for the sire to teach you your clan in VtM, but it makes no sense in VtR. Caitiff also make no sense in VtR.
