I think that an author who writes something promoting his own product should not call it a review. Mr. Bayn has done similar articles on several occasions, and has called some of them "self-reviews." I don't know if that word is much better but it's not as if he has put one over on rpg.net (plus with net anonymity it's harder to tell if this happens more often than we think).

The ratings he gives himself seem to show evidence of self-examination - I will grant that.
