I didn't expec, and hoped it wouldn't be, a radical change. What once started as a joke (Steve Jacson often joked about a generic system during the surge of generic, no name products in the grocery stores) became a solid system that hasn't changed in it's core since day one.

The 4th edition was always aimed to right the wrongs that had crept into the books as things matured and shifted.

Basically, if it isn't broke, don't fix-it. However like a car, the system just needed a tuneup.
