Well, among other things the doctor performed surgery, or at least stitched up a wound, on Kronos. The doctor says something along the lines of "my stitches seems to have held" when he looks at the scar on Kronos torso. The doctor also has the line "I know you have guts. I've seen them", referring to Kronos.
