Well, if they were on the same page, then there wouldn´t be any horror stories, would there?

About being on the same page, I was making an allusion to horror novels and GM perspective. To be clear I meant that most GMs are still getting the same "sex is bad in games" message they always have been gettinhg.

I never said that this way of playing is for everyone. If a group doesn´t want to play like that, then it by god shouldn´t, as they´ll have more fun with their normal mode.

I trying to point out that the odds are against it with the number of people involved. NOT that it can't be done, it just takes more time (to find and weed out wrong players) and screening of new players if this is what you want to do.

There are other companies out there with different opinions on the topic.

Your absolutely correct. But MOST companies don't. Let me give an example; Guardians of Order, on their ML several years ago, the subject came up about writers submissions. Mark Mckinnon stated specifically that GoO was not interested in any hentai, or naughty tentacle supplements. Now think about it. Hentai stuff isn't the biggest thing in the anime market but it is not small and many anime fans would identify it. GoO still won't do it. Why? They've got the support, the got the fanbase and they certainly are willing to captilize on d20 and even made a Pet Monster book whose introduction talked about fears of "selling out".

Simply the reluctance a GM and player have at the game level translates to the designer level as well. The horror stories that even you must have heard, have saturated the subconcious of the gaming community making sexually explicit gaming more difficult by causing mature adult gamers to simply avoid the subject and leaving it for the players who would create more horror stories.

I'm not saying it can't be done, it's just difficult enough(playerwise, GMwise) to simply avoid it and altogether.
