In other posters' defense the BoEF is possible to use a in a mature tasteful manner (Rolemaster Companion 1 had a "Midwifery" Spell List which was very clean and tasteful)

From what I recall of those rules they were also not very accurate, and there was no discussion about when and how they should be used in a game (as was normal for RM material).

but the catch is you probably don't need it if your one of the groups that can RP in a tasteful way. All the rules you need is percentage chance to catch and STD (high %) and pregnancy (mid to high %). Stuff like the number of children you have and such can be constructed with a simple 1-100 chart and your done. The rest is RP; and there you have what will cover the bulk of sexual encounters.

The big issue here is that getting those numbers and putting them to rules takes time and effort, and this book does it for you. It also discusses the whole issue and running games with sex in them. This is useful for those who'd like to add this element to their games, and would prefer not to mess it up trying.

If you want tantric magic and magical STDs and sex golems and stuff like that you can come up with a simple set of rules in an afternoon. Or better yet go buy a book about real Tantric Magic for research. It won't cost you $40 and you can actually attempt it with your partner.

And are the rules that result from your afternoon playtested? Are they comprehensive?
