Converted from Phorums BB System
My thoughts after several plays of this game since it was released are in line with the original poster. Except I've only seen the traitor win once. We've had multiple games where the heroes won before the traitor even got a turn.
I've yet to see the heroes actually need to cooperate. Usually one person who has a high stat just needs to make a few rolls and the game is over. The others can just continue exploring. In fact most rolls are quite easy once you boost that stat even a little. Cooperative games work best when they are hard because that forces the team to work together. This game is quite easy to beat and often half the heroes can't do anything to help anyways.
The game was clearly not (or barely) playtested or proof-read before being published. Its fun the first few times until you realize how totally mindless and anti-climactic it is.
Reading the review for this game. I was wondering if the writer had even played it. Or maybe got a different copy than the rest of us.
