Converted from Phorums BB System

My group played this for the first time last night.

In practice, it turned out to be almost impossible for the Heroes to win, and the game died a death. Their goals depended on them getting first into, then out of, the basement, and performing a specific task while there.
First Problem: The game begins with no exit from the basement. You can get in, but not out. As it played out, the Basement Exit tile was never revealed, meaning they'd have had to rely on the Mystic Elevator tile ( transports to a random floor / room ), and a fair dose of good luck, to escape at all.
Second Problem: The task they had to perform heavily relied on them having one of two Items, one of which the Traitor ( Me, hehe ) had to begin with, and the other which I nicked off of my first Hero-kill.
Third problem: More an issue with poor tactics than the game itself, but in combination with the other two problems it sealed their fate. When the remaining Heroes saw how easily I dispatched with the first two intrepid explorers to come my way ( the prerequisite for being the Traitor was that I had the highest Might ), they began searching the house for buffs instead of sticking to the task at hand. What they didn't know was that they only had a set number of rounds to complete the game.

It was just all too easy for me, and by the end only two players were still at the table. Even one of the players whose character was still alive and kicking had wandered off to the PC to put some music on.

Bear in mind though that these problems were randomly generated, and in a different set of circumstances it would have been much more evenly balanced. The sheer depth of the game ( 50 different scenarios, 12 possible traitors for each and random map and item generation ) means that there must be countless ways it can pan out. I guess we just got unlucky.
