Plaster of paris is pretty much useless for casting Hirst Arts molds; it cracks _way_ too easily for what you're trying to do with it.
You want dental plaster, believe me. It cures so hard that you can chuck it against a wall and not even see a _dent_ in the material.
And yeah, Hirst Art molds are absolutely amazing - while I'm at it, you've written an excellent review. I wouldn't mind seeing more. :->
