I don't care what political party this crap is ascribed to, only an idiot gives up freedom for an illusion of security. Bad laws can and do remain on the books for decades, usually long after their purpose is dead and buried. For example, don't you sleep better at night knowing that, thanks to the law, the Kaiser cannot cut off the supply of helium to our dirigible fleet?
