Opinions do vary somewhat on Traumfabrik As a huge Ra fan, I was non-plussed by it, as the bidding mechanism there (redistributing cash evenly to the non-winning players) seemed to "damp" things out quite a bit, and make the auctions less skillful and edgy. But YMMV.

Regardless of all that, I find Traumfabrik the most similar to Razzia!/Ra of all Knizia's auction games. Not directly similar, but a cousin perhaps, in that you're trying to acquire various items in different proportions, and they are auctioned in random mixed lots (built up in Razzia!, fixed ahead of time in Traumfabrik). Where Ra/Razzia! scores over Traumfabrik IMHO is in the subtlety of the bidding, with the checks/suns (which are themselves auctioned) being a lot more interesting than the fairly straightforward contracts in Traumfabrik.
