I thought the review was fairly harsh and a little unfair, but it was intelligently written and eloquent. I do not believe the reviewer, whom I disagreed with in some areas, deserved to be called 'fhanboy' and such. I feel the person throwing that aspersion was the real fhanboy whining because someone dissed his new show.

One disagreement I had with the author was re the number 6 character. It was unfair to compare her to (ugh) 7 of 9 as the #6 character was capable of more than just constant abuse and looking at people as if they smelled bad. All in all I'd rather chat with 6 than 7 of 9 any day of the week and twice on sunday.

Another point I agree with the author on was the glowing spine effect. What a cheeseshot. I guess all we need to do to spot the humanoid cylons is search for red phosphorescent items around the spine?

Another quibble was the bit where 6 had apparently made a chip of herself and stuck it in Baltar's head. Holy farscape batman! Sounds like a 'neural clone' to me. Then again I guess the SFC won't sue itself....

An interesting aspect of the series was that the cylons were apparently insane and had an fascination with god and souls. 6 made numerous refs to god, and the cylon in the hidden base made refs to souls. This might be a fascinating concept if explored properly, the cylons have developed a religion and are insanely fanatical about it. How human that would make them!

I'm looking forward with crossed fingers to the series. I just hope thje SFC doesn't do it's usual thing: Eithermake a piece of @!#$ show like moist of their shows, or make a good show and ruin it (A'la lexx) or make a great show than cancel it at it's height. (Farscape, anyone?)

Until they ruin it or cancel it, I'll tune it every week, same cylon time, same cylon channel.
