The Certamen skill is not reduced ot a flat bonus: it is split between a handful of skills used in other magic casting now. So, the Penetration skill, used to overcome magical resistance in battle, is the Attacking skill in Certamen, and so on.

Certamen used to be a terrible skill point sink for this house. Now, a good duelist is a skilled warrior too...
