Oh, well. Seemed to work for us. I have found Hero frustrating sometimes, but overall we've enjoyed low-powered HERO games off and on for years, using some of the optional rules to make it work for a given setting.

I have some serious beefs with the d20 system, so there's no chance of us porting over to Mongoose, although we still buy the books as resources.

Honesty, I've never found the all-around perfect system, just systems that worked great for a particular setting.
