Could be better

Yes there's drama if you suspend any stake you have in the game. My problem with it is that there's really no way to plan a win, so there's really no drama behind winning or losing.
What's the deal with upstairs, downstairs tiles? One's not 'harder' than the other. Is there any way to reduce the chance of going to the haunt phase? No. Is there ANYTHING players can do to enhance their chance of winning? Is there anything a traitor can do to enhance their chance of winning? If it's a storytelling game, why is there a winner at all?
This game would be decent if there were decisions the players had to make with consequences and risks and rewards. This game has none of that.
Basically: no player input, no drama. No drama, no story.
