This game is kind of like a Michael Bay movie... all style-over-substance. The theme seems to me the *only* thing this game has to offer.

Its only true quality is the top notch components (except for the completely useless box divider). It's only charm lies in the inspiring imagery of the text.

But the actual mechanics are a complete disaster. As offered, the game is nearly unplayable. Far too often, as soon as the haunting begins, the game becomes a depressing quagmire of slaughter by the enemy or an overly-easy defeat by the good guys... either way the random nature of all this is anti-climactic.

The rules themselves do little more than create a series of interpretation arguments and questions over its numerous omissions.

While I understand some will like this game... I don't like Michael Bay movies either.

Don't want it to be a good game? Okay... I'm baffled by this statement.

If that's the case, you could just play Mystery Date and put monster cards behind the door rather than a geek/jock.
