I must say that the layout is indeed terrible. I had been waiting to buy this game for months and I almost decided not to buy it once I could glance at it.

The content is interesting, but for example, the lack of a clear table with the abilities of each class as they go up in level is terrible. One has to dig in the text to see what a paladin can do at what level etc.. not great for a game who is supposed to be fast play .. makes it hard for a poor dm (or CK) to improvise an npc....

IMHO the Trolls should completly redo the layout and presentation of the information for the 2nd printing. I am convinced that they will lose many customers over this, which is too bad since the general mechanics and fell of the game seems very good.
