I'll also add that the Basic Game is meant for new **DMs**. Dungeons were the first D&D environments for a good reason: Besides wargaming, dungeons were easy to **play**. It's hard enough for a noob to learn the D&D rules, much less having to learn open-ended GM'ing.

Oh, and did anyone notice that one of the figures is a **dragon**. When asked why, in the original Basic Set, dragons were included in the monster list, the authors replied, "What if you bought a game called 'Dungeons and Dragons' and didn't find any dragons in it?"
