I picked up Dime Store Magic from the library and could barely get though 50 pages before dropping it. Perhaps it is because I came in at the middle, but I found the writing uninspired, the situations tedious, and the characters flat.

It might make good reading on a long flight or somewhere that one couldn't really concentrate.
