I find the CoH and WoW death penalties very similar -- both move you a safe distance away. WoW gives you a minor punishment (cash instead of XP debt) if you choose to just start at the graveyard you appeared at, but gives you no penalty if you race over to your body as a ghost and resurrect there.

I know too many people with experience debt in the hundreds of thousands of points to call the CoH death penalty the least irritating I've found.
