I will say I've played many games... and outside of World of Warcraft, which is hands down a gorgeous game that goes by way too quickly,

However, City of Heroes has done one right thing by keeping the depth out though. That is to not have a complicated game. It's simple. You can pick it up, and if you play for a little while, pick up all the basics of the game. There is no real 'loot' or 'power items'. There is very little hovering over one spot trying to kill the uber-monsters. Everything works out well, and you are allowed to do pretty much whatever you want. Very few games are like this.

I personally, really detest the expense of trade skills, and the time wasted on them. I'd much rather get right to the action, and that is what this game allows me to do. So in that respect, it's a big thumbs up.
