Perhaps I will clarify my stance a little: I hate MMORPGs. CoH would be a much better game if it did not follow so many of the standard conventions of the genre as it does. As can be seen by my last two paragraphs, I very much do NOT like certain things MMORPGs still do just because 'it is the way it has always been done'.

CoH managed to make me like it, despite being a MMORPG, which is plenty good from a shallow representative of the genre
