And CoH let you level off of quests before WoW.

I'm not saying WoW is a bad game - I am just pointing out that Blizzard came and polished the darn out of worn elements, then presented them anew, instead of coming up with anything new. For me, same old, even polished, just isn't cutting it. I do really like its continuous, seamlessly loading world - even if it's pretty small when you think about it.
