I was talking solely about the single book and *its* lack of crunch (not the lack of crunch in the entire line), as was abundantly clear, and as I've explained.
-------------------------------

Again, what you said was, "...book that doesn't rely on crunch to sell."

Let me ask you two questions: What *is* it relying on to sell then? And what percentage of sales are based on this attribute as opposed to crunch?

Since your statement makes it clear that the attribute generating sales is contained within just the World Guide and since the World Guide only really contains setting details and ideas, I can only imagine your answer is setting details and ideas.

So how many folks are buying the World Guide *just* for the setting as opposed to the folks who are buying it because it's D&D, part of something larger, etc.? Throw out a number. You've touted your relationship with Privateer Press; this shouldn't be beyond you.

-------------------------------
Wasn't the Subject Line clear enough for you? "Bravo Privateer Press Crew" didn't make it obvious enough whom I was addressing? Weren't the terms, "Just wanted to say bravo to everyone involved in creating the IKWG" and "Well done, guys; you deserve to have all been listed rather than be presented as "multiple."" clear enough in making it obvious I was talking to the PP crew rather than a general audience or gamers at large?
-------------------------------

You don't have the private e-mail addresses of the folks you work with? It just wasn't possible for you to congratulate them privately? Or on the Privateer Press website, where they're more likely to run across your message?

You're being disingenuous. You have better means of getting a message to the Private Press folks if that's truly who you were aiming. You posted it here because you wanted the folks reading the review to see it.

-------------------------------
Seanchai, I'm noticing a trend in your posts.
-------------------------------

Two instances is a trend, huh?

-------------------------------
Another example is where you effectively insulted fans of games such as Castles & Crusades by stating they nearly always only played it because they couldn't understand D&D3.Xe.
-------------------------------

You're confusing me with someone else.

-------------------------------
So, I have to ask, Seanchai, what is your experience in this little industry of ours?
-------------------------------

Next to none. A question for you: Why does that fact, by itself, make me wrong?

You're probably going to ask what makes me think I know more than those who are involved in the industry. The answer: I don't think that I necessarily know more than they.

But I also know that we're talking about an industry full of folks without a lick of business knowlege or acumen, where the threshold for entry is the ability to push a button and create a PDF.

And when a small time player starts talking about how their plan, which runs counter to the data we do have, current wisdom, and the business models - not to mention common sense - will bring about a stable, long-term return, I feel pretty confident that I don't need any special insider knowledge to predict a bad end...
