Look, I can see a certain need for at least a few rules for social interaction, but there is also such a thing as going too far. It may be a game, yes, but its still defined as a roleplaying game: the keyword here is roleplaying.

One of the definitions of roleplay is to perform on a stage or theater. Certainly, we are neither on stage or a theater, but we are performing, essentially. It doesn't require a die roll to take on a roll - personalities and word choice are a valid choice we can make in any conversation, whether a living person or an imaginary one.

Using dice to dictate every interaction, however, is just plain foolish. There has to come a point where you start making choices not dictated by the roll of the bones, otherwise you might as well just be playing a computer game.

Its about social interaction; you dont socially interact combat for a very valid reason, but conversation is another thing entirely.
