I'm sure you actually did read what I wrote, maybe you were busy. I did not say they had to follow the exact same rules set, I said they should be governed by equally strict and detailed rules. This seems to be the difficult concept. Equal does not mean identical, equally strict does not mean excluding any roleplaying element - it simply means that no more, nor less, weight should be given to roleplaying social interraction than to narrating combat tactics or stunts.

And now you are being intentionally specious. I did read what you said, and I think it was pretty obvious what I was saying too. There is no reason why a game system has to put as much weight on any one element as it does another; as long as people are satisfied with it, thats all that matters.

And there are a number of RPGs out there that are quite successful while breaking your little rule here.
