There are several different factions in the GODSEND Agenda

The Angelos
The Angelos are alien super-soldiers, created by El to fight his galactic wars. Genetically engineered beings crafted for warfare, their loyalty and legendary toughness is imprinted within their very DNA. They unwaveringly serve in the countless bloody conflicts fought throughout the galaxy in El’s name.

Atlanteans
Once the islands of Thera and Santorini were one island, called Atlantis. The branch of humanity that evolved there mastered the primal powers of Ka and manipulated their environment with it to better serve their needs. These Atlanteans became highly advanced compared to the other humans of Earth, and were ruled by a council of beings called the Thirteen Magi. Each Magi was immortal, and had dominion over their own group of islands. In the present day, they still exist as masters of technology, genetics, and Ka-power.

Black October
October 13th, 1918: a genetic sequence implanted in the human race by the super-science of the Atlantean Immortals triggers. Five million people around the world die during the initial activation. Most are adults over the age of thirty, consumed by new powers their bodies could not contain. A person with the “Black Gene” will never live far into adulthood, as their powers increase and their lifespan shortens due to strain. Those who survived would be the first legion of the Immortals' planetary defense plan: a superhuman army created to fight the Chimerans.

Chimerans
The Chimeran Hegemony is a Ka-using race like the Elohim – but this is where their similarities end. Their home world of Thule has two unusual stars that give off an enormous amount of Ka energy; this, coupled with their malleable physical nature, has made the Hegemony a formidable force in the galaxy. Each Chimeran is born with some sort of Ka ability, yet their greatest weapon and resource remain their bodies. Chimerans trace their lineage from their still-living progenitor – the Echidian. Most Chimerans swear loyalty to the Echidian, and thorugh this primordial Father-being, their species. They use their changing bodies and Ka-talents to serve the goals of their race.

Elohim
Once, the Elohim were a small group of rebels who were captured by their peers and sentence to exile on a barren prison world. When their prison ship crashed on Earth, thousands of years ago, the imprisoned Elohim escaped their Angelos captors and adopted this world as their own. For protection from the aggressive Angelos - as well as to fuel their immense egos - the Elohim all agreed to use the Godsend Agenda. This doctrine called for the adoption of the image of Earth’s gods to advance and control primitive peoples. At the advice of Attis, their chief and leader of the Elohim rebellion, they split up and settled in foreign lands.

U.S.E.R.
United States Eugenics Research is an offshoot of the Department of Health, formed in 1920. USER was the first to pinpoint the Black Gene in humanity and was tasked with either stopping or controlling the growing superhuman problem spreading around the world. Over the years USER has created its own – often-flawed - superhumans, as well as pursuing other projects. They have advanced cybernetic and genetic research, all while looking for a key to further unlock humanity's latent superhuman potential.

The background and faction write ups take roughly 180 pages in the book and go a lot more in-depth than I will here. The default setting of GODSEND Agenda is 2010 but game play can take place during anytime during the last 4, 000 years (supplements are in the works to flesh out the Heroic Age, Dark Ages, and theVictorian Age).

Ok…here we go

A long long time ago in a galaxy far far away there was the Elohim Empire and they used the infinite power of the universe to conquer worlds. This power, called Ka, could be manipulated to do anything the mind could think of. The Emperor El only taught a certain few to use this power and was backed up by an army of genetic clones called the Angelos.

Taking over a world used a lot of man power and resources and soon the empire was stretched thin. El can up with a set of rules that would free up his Angelos and much of his resources; The GODSEND Agenda was the plan.

With the GODSEND Agenda El sent out only a few Ka using Elohim with a small group of Angelos muscle to take over a world. The Elohim would use their abilities to impersonate the local religious icon. The primitive people would believe that their gods walked among them and essentially conquer themselves. Any resistance would be met with a holy war where the actual god would show up. Worlds could be conquered and controlled by a hand full of Ka wielding beings and a small contingent of Angelos.

Life goes on, the empire expands, and people eat much cake and pie.

The Empire expands and touches another Ka wielding race; the Chimerans. The Elohim empire concentrated all its power at the top with El only teaching chosen few how to use this incredible power, the Chimerans ALL know the secrets of Ka and use it effectively. The Chimerans are a hive mind race controlled by a creature called the Echidian. Their only purpose in life is to consume, breed, consume. When the two cultures meet there is a culture clash.

El’s empire is mighty and his Angelos are the best the galaxy has ever seen but against a race of polymorphic Ka users they don’t stand a chance. The war goes on for hundreds of years but the Elohim are loosing ground at every turn, that’s where Attis comes in.

Attis is a young Elohim who is adept at Ka and all its uses. He figures out how to defeat the Chimerans and does so in a few years. He basically cuts off the ENTIRE race from using Ka energy. Greatly weaken the Chimerans call a truce and the Elohim, who are at the brink of collapse, don’t press the issue.

Attis is held as a hero and the Elohim empire loves him…every except El. Attis is a free think and teaches that everyone should be enlightened by Ka use. El can’t stomach it anymore and sends assassins to kill Attis. Everyone chooses sides and a great civil war erupts. The Chimerans get wind of this and start a new offensive and now El is fighting a war on two fronts. He makes a deal with the renegade Elohim and together they both beat back the Chimerans. El then double crosses Attis and his followers and takes them prisoner, puts them on a prison ship and ships them off. While in deep space the prison ship is accosted by a Chimerans ship. A boarding action happens and the only way the Angelos captain can think of getting away is to turn on the ships singularity drive. Both ships are sucked into a wormhole and thrown through time and space.


EARTH 4,000 BC

The Elohim prison ship hurls out of the wormhole and crashes off the coast of Florida. The singularity drives are misfiring and everyone must evacuate the ship. The prisoners aboard the ship (Chimeran and Elohim alike) all escape while the Angelos are busy making good their evacuation.

Free on earth the survivors are hunted by the Angelos. Attis decides the best way to defend against the Angelos army is to use the GODSEND Agenda, sadly the Chimerans get the same idea. The aliens settle all over the globe and assume or create roles for themselves. Attis settles in the Nile valley with a group of 9 others.

The Atlanteans on earth have lived in peace for almost a thousand years at this point and have the ability to tell the future. They have this prophecy that creatures would descend from the sky and devour the world like locust. Thinking the aliens exiles are the demons they attack them. Attis and his group sue for peace and explain to them what’s going on.
The Atlanteans know that the demons will eventual come and seed humanity with a gift called the black gene. The gene will erupt in humanity when the demons arrive.

The world turns the Elohim fight the Chimerans, the Chimerans fight the Angelos, The Atlanteans fight who ever hurts humanity. Attis soon realizes that he may have made a mistake suggesting the use of the GODSEND Agenda here. He sees that his fellow exiles are doing more harm than good and uses the same procedure to cut off the Flow of Ka like he did against the Chimerans during the war. Every Ka user on the planet has his power cut drastically. During this time the Angelos used the GODSEND Agenda to create a monotheistic religion to counter the Elohim and Chimeran threat. When the Ka is cut the Angelos sweep in and kill or usurp power of anyone foolish enough to stand in their way.

In 1908 over Siberia a wormhole opens and spits out a piece of the Chimeran ship that attacked the prison ship only moments earlier. Three beings are found by the Russians and are indoctrinated into their culture.

1918 mankind suffers from what they believe is a virulent influenza. In actuality it is the manifestation of the Black gene. A group form of these so-called “Blacks” called Black October. They are feared and hated by humanity that doesn’t understand them.

The US government wants to get to the bottom of what’s going on and create a secret organization known as the United States Eugenics Research program, or U.S.E.R. USER tries to scientifically replicate super powers in humanity using science.

1947 New Mexico the other piece of the Chimeran ship falls out of the sky in the desert. The ship is quickly picked up by man with a sinister plan for humanity and the exiled aliens who inhabit it.

Humanity becomes accustomed to super humans but worship them defiantly in this era. Instead of gods they cal them celebrities and follow and track their every move. What’s his favorite color? When is his birthday, what kind of car does he drive? I want to grow up to be just like him.

When these beings walked the earth thousands of years ago they were considered gods, now they are known of as super heroes. Different title same basic effect.

2010, a deep space telescope identifies a large craft racing toward s the earth. It will be here in two years. The Atlanteans and Black October brace themselves

This synopsis doesn’t really do the game justice but this is the end of a very long day. Maybe after a little rest I can come back and do an addendum.
