From the sound of things, I think that the WildCards series would also provide good reference material for Godsend. The Ultraverse line of comics also had a narrow source for superpowers, and that didn't seem to harm things. Of course, Ultraverse was more of a traditional superhero universe. If it wasn't already mentioned, Rising Stars is in the same vein of "superbeings in a normal world" and that certainly was interesting as well. Godsend definetely seems like an interesting game.
