Yeah, okay, things were looking pretty darned hopeless for most of the campaign. The low point was, as Jonny Nexus has so eloquently brought to public attention, losing our friggin' boat.
However, when our party tracked down Sigmar's hammer, found his only heir, and then helped him defeat a Greater Demon of Tzeench... holy crap, things were looking a little better after that.
To quote Terry Pratchett, the world is a lot like children: "Short and brutal." Yes, humanity is most likely going to be extinguished... but the chance to stand against the tide, to fight back, even if everything looks hopeless? You can line up behind me, bucko.
