When the players must leave a quest before it is finished, you don't necessarily have to remove all the white cards played.

You only must remove them for SOLO quests, those that only 1 player can do at a time.

The GROUP quests, which can have as many as 7 players doing them at once, do NOT lose all the white cards when the players leave.
