Converted from Phorums BB System

er...
Okay, sociology is the STUDY of human society (and we can presume eventually, even alien societies...) not human society. I misused the word at least Once in the previous post.
My only excuse is that I am three hours past my bed time and my mommy would be upset if she knew...
Also, Socialism is far more than a economic policy, while Capitalism is essentially nothing but a term for a market driven economy.
Further: While Socialism is a flawed system for reasons mentioned above, Market driven, or Capitalist systems are likewise flawed. Namely, without some exterior control i.e. Government, they are Callous, ignoring or marginalizing the disadvantaged, and further, they tend to focus less on vital infrastructures...
Purely socialist economies are not just oblivious to human nature, but also demand increasing amounts of Governmental control over the entire system, which naturally places a greater demand on the entire economy.
What any of this has to do with RPG's, I don't really know. I do know that it is a vastly oversimple description of my admittedly limited grasp of both Sociology and Economics, and I am sure some expert with years of college will turn me into a pumpkin.
