Converted from Phorums BB System

"Ah, here's an actual absurd length and leap of logic. You're doing nothing right now but proving you're a loudmouthed moron with a grudge against said Aldis defenders, and a very poor grasp of facts to boot. Here you are again putting words in my mouth. I've said nothing about Spike, and I don't intend to change that. Even if I had, Spike is capable of defending himself when people challenge him."

Oh I see.. unfortunately I mistook you for something other than a belligerent idiot who was just out to attack me for whatever past occasions I've managed to show you up; and I figured you were actually talking about the topic at hand, which was thededine's completely idiotic assertion that Spike is "not qualified to criticize" the Aldis SETTING by virtue of not having actually played it.

Which is a little bit like saying that someone isn't qualified to criticize a lousy TV series unless they've watched every minute of the entire first season.

Just as usually one or two episodes will do to determine that a TV series sucks ass, actually reading an RPG settig is almost always enough to judge whether it is garbage or not. What's more, the experience of playing in a setting does nothing to add to the objective experience of the setting, and may even be an obstacle to objectivity, because what you are then experiencing is NOT the "setting as written" but instead the setting as run by a DM (who could be very good or very bad).

I mean hell, I could run Aldis and make it not suck. That doesn't mean that it doesn't suck in the book.
