Well, I'm a moderate liberal myself. I can't speak for how anyone else feels about it. If you can't stand the idea of roleplaying in a world which has a liberal society within it, then obviously this game is not for you. Hopefully that's clear from my review.

I'm not sure I see what the distinction is as far as setting goes. Personally, I've played RPGs before in settings created by conservative GMs and/or game authors, where the setting reflects more conservative values. I don't see the issue. I disagreed with their politics, but that didn't prevent gaming together and having fun.
