Really? I think not. Not even Lovecraft saw his stories taking place before a coherent background. The term "Cthulhu-Mythos" was invented by his predecessors.

I just finished "The Conan Chronicles, Vol. 1" published by Gollancz (Fantasy Masterworks) and Conan seems pretty superhuman to me.
What does he do in the non-Howard stories?!
