The thing is, though, that there is a lot of Blue Rose that would upset many conservatvies. The book is practically an apologietic for the social benefits of same-sex marriage.

In fact, Aldean attitudes towards sexuality in general would be galling to religious conservatives -- not to mention that at least one of the "bad guy" nations is clearly modeled on what America would suppsedly be like if run by Fundmanetalist Christians.

Not that that is a bad thing. I personally like it when an RPG takes a stand. unfortunately, as far as actual camapigns are concerned YMMV is not just na acronym but a way of life in this business.
